On her family couch, joined by her older sister and cousin night, Ja’Naiya Scott sat upon a South Carolina summer.
She looked combined with the remainder of her lifetime and had moved on from Whitehall Elementary.

Over 35 shots interrupted the late night morning hours, hammering and hospitalizing her cousin and sister and, tragically, ending ‘s life.
The tragedy, which occurred around 1:30 a.m. Sunday in the town of Anderson, struck home with Buffalo Bills defensive end Shaq Lawson in more ways than you.
“It might have been my little sister,” Lawson said Wednesday via The Greenville News. “I’ve got a little sister around that age, and it might have been one of my family members.”
In the aftermath of the murder of Ja’Naiya, Lawson has pledged to cover the funeral.
A three-season veteran with the Bills, Lawson grew up in South Carolina, attending D.W. Daniel High before enjoying Clemson.
Lawson achieved to talk the mother of Ja’Naiya, with Marshella Rice.
“I know that her heart was hurting,” Lawson explained. “I was so speechless I couldn’t saying anything. I felt for her pain. I felt the pain. I felt like some other way I could possibly help out, I had been planning to do this. It struck my heart”
Struck by a bullet in her right shoulder, Ja’Naiya’s subclavian artery was severed and she died in the emergency room.
An unknown assailant fired the shots off without any suspects having been called, and no charges have been filed.
“Whoever did this needs to come forward and tell the truth,” Lawson explained. “And whomever is hiding, it is wrong that you are hiding. This is a tiny girl who is gone. It’s just pointless killing people. She had been home, a place she was supposed to be safe.”
