Ryan Giggs says it was difficult decision to name Tom Lawrence in Wales squad

Wales manager Ryan Giggs has admitted it was a difficult decision to include Tom Lawrence within his 26-man squad later this month to face Slovakia and Croatia.
Lawrence was charged with drink-driving last month after being involved in a car crash after a group night with Derby County.
The 25-year-old is expected to appear alongside club team-mate Mason Bennett, who has also been charged with all drink-driving, at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates Court on October 15.
This was a situation of talking to everyone concerned, said Giggs. We have been liaising with Derby and I spoke with Philip Cocu to find out exactly what their position was. It wasnt a simple decision.
But from a football viewpoint, he performed with with Derby and I wanted him engaged in the group. Hes an important player for us.
Earlier World Cup finalists Croatia visit the Cardiff City Stadium on October 13, wales face Slovakia at a Euro 2020 qualifier at Trnava on October 10 – two days before Lawrence is scheduled to appear in court.
Its not going to be easy because he may be thinking about this, said Giggs. Ill see how he is during this week, observe how he throws and make a decision whether to begin with him or her not in some of the games.
Central defender Ashley Williams contributes after being left out to last months wins over Belarus and Azerbaijan. Williams was with no club at the time after being discharged with Everton but has joined Championship side Bristol City.
If Ash performs then hes the captain, affirmed Giggs. Its good to get him backagain. He had not needed a club so that was why I left him out, but hes playing well and enjoying regularly so hes back
Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey comes back to the squad after recovering from a hamstring injury, while Daniel James and also Gareth Bale also have been included.
Wales are fourth in their eligibility category, having taken six points.
