Manny Pacquiao’s Updated Odds, Predictions for Jeff Horn Fight

Manny Pacquiao might no more be the headliner he was through the prime of his career, but the 38-year-old welterweight and future Hall of Famer returns to the ring Saturday night against little-known Australian Jeff Horn.

Pacquiao (59-6-2) is performing this on Horn’s home turf in Brisbane, Australia, at Suncorp Stadium. Horn (16-0-1) has beaten a couple impressive fighters in Randall Bailey and Ali Funeka to earn the battle against the Filipino legend.

Pacquiao was successful at his last bout against Jessie Vargas past November, which struggle demonstrated that he has his excellent boxing skills. That will make it very difficult for Horn to establish any kind of constant attack.

Pacquiao is a minus-550 favorite, according to OddsShark, meaning that a bettor would need to gamble $550 to make a gain that is $100 . Horn is a underdog.

Pacquiao has not earned a victory using a knockout or stoppage because 2008, which was clearly not the case when he was in his heyday. Pacquiao has registered 38 knockouts in his profession, but his fans have not managed to see him show off that once-formidable power a few years.
Pacquiao is placing his boxing skills on display on television. The fight will be held Sunday afternoon local time in eastern Australia and will be broadcast on ESPN. The boxing broadcast starts at 9 p.m. ET Saturday.

The greatest assets in this stage in his career of pacquiao appear to be ring generalship, defense and his speed. Horn has shown some power and aggressiveness, which may leave him vulnerable to getting caught with different combinations if he’s not able to connect with Pacquiao on a consistent basis.
