Niall Daly proudly representing Padraig Pearses and Roscommon despite living in Galway

There was no panic of Niall Daly – he is a Rossie through and through.
Along with his three brothers Ronan Lorcan and Conor, Niall represents Roscommon, plus they are gunning to shoot down All-Ireland winners Corofin with their team Padraig Pearses in Sundays Connacht final.
But a little known fact about the Daly footballing clan – that they float just round the Roscommon border.
I dont normally say it on the listing but where we live – we live right down a street and were on the border and the street is divided by Galway and Roscommon, Niall explained. We really live in county Galway so growing up we wouldve a lot of despair off the Ballinasloe GAA club not playing them! But thats the way it and how is.
Pearses have been the club and they had a great underage structure at the time. Once we moved there, amounts were large. Growing up, we had been also a Division 1 team and we were always aggressive, U12 all of the way up. Dad would have got himself engaged also so it had been a no-brainer to be enjoying
Its been a rough ride for Pearses in the past few decades, but they eventually got after decades of heartache on the line for a county title.
Its said that you occasionally have to lose one to win one. But in the case of all Pearses, the fine print detailed they had to shed seven.
After coming off the pitch following their county last defeat to St Brigids in 2016, Daly was left wondering whether it was ever going to happen.
In Roscommon phrases, we have been seen as theMayo of all Roscommon club football that is not a good thing really, he said.
They all sit at the memory and arent good times to look back on.
So simply to get over the line about the day in the final was huge. Even the games close, I believe we allow them come back to it and just held on actually and we were nine points up at the same stage. It turned out to be a huge weight off the shoulders
Off the back of their Roscommon SFC victory, they embarked on a Connacht odyssey, beating the Tourlestrane and the T??r Chonaill Gaels of London of Sligo.
He continued:Beating Tourlestrane, just about getting over them. I know the scoreline doesnt mention that, however we probably got two or one fortuitous targets.
The London trip actually brought the club together. A massive crowd was on the market. In a way that is funny, there were people over there which would not be at a match at a club-pitch!
The last few times that the hype of the [Corofin] match has really been constructing.
There arent many jobs in club football as facing Corofin in Tuam as hard.
We know were entering the lions den on Sunday. Were playing a team a lot of people round the country admire to their own new football, he cautioned.
Sundays game – winter football, Tuam becoming a heavy enough pitch, it probably attracts us a small bit nearer, possibly. Youre looking at them, they have been blessed the very first moment, to draw Tuam.
If we are able to generate a performance and they are a little bit off their degree, weve got some kind of a opportunity. Its all about us creating a performance, our job speed , enjoying with a guy in the position. Small small things might get us and well be trying to concentrate on that.
We are looking ahead. We are aware that it is a challenge. Were in bonus territory but we would like to get ourselves justice daily.
And theyre under no illusion as to the scale of the task at hand.
Absolutely, he said, when asked if it is the biggest game in the clubs foundation. Every game for the past couple of weeks was. It is unknown land. A enormous game.
The club is just taking off. Everything is being supported and weve got loads of patrons.
Its a great time to be Pearses club at the moment.
Everyone would like to see them (Corofin) defeated, he laughed. Hopefully we will be the team to do it.
