Ole Miss was a in last year delivered a record in SEC play. The Rebels will be looking to improve on their recent history, having won six or fewer games over the last three years, and hoping to bolster last season’s defense that surrendered an average of 36.2 points per match.
Their crime was the lone bright spot, averaging 33.9 points and above 510 total yards per game but that should be taken in context, as they racked up a whopping 76 and 70 points against lightly considered Southern Illinois and UL Monroe, respectively.
Memphis continues to be a football program under head coach Mike Norvell’s watch, notching at least eight wins over the last five seasons. The Tigers had a high-octane crime in 2018, averaging 42.9 points a game which ranked them seventh in all of D-1 football.
For Tigers’ fans, Memphis will see the return of quarterback Brady White, who handed with nine selections over the year for 26 touchdowns and 3296 yards. Furthermore, White will notice three to four of the top objects back into uniform, such as No. 1 recipient Damonte Coxie.
From the backfield, last season’s starting tailback, Darrell Henderson, was plucked by the Rams in the next round of April’s NFL draft, but his first copy Patrick Taylor Jr. will assume the starting role after dividing the plane of the end zone on 18 events, two of which were getting touchdowns, in 2018.
Although the Tigers’ defense was not as impressive as its offense, they’ll be returning eight starters and hope to improve upon their 31.5 PPG ordinary.
