It marks only Murrays second ATP Tour-level triumph in 16 months as hes his return.
The Wimbledon champion, 32, will play with Romanias world number 92 Marius Copil from the previous eight.

Before seeing out the match, murray broke again.
I believed I functioned quite well for most of the match and, when I managed to get in the baseline ralliesI felt I was hitting the ball quite tidy, which is great, said Murray.
He functioned very well, which made it hard for me to get the breaks, but I thought for me it was a fantastic match.
From the other quarter-finals at Antwerp, Swiss seed Stan Wawrinka and Frenchman Gilles Simon will play with while Jannik Sinner – that shocked Gael Monfils – can take on Frances Tiafoe of the US.
Argentinas Guido Pella will play with either Ugo Humbert of France or Belgiums David Goffin.
