Once Again, Kyle Busch is Top of the Oddsboard for the Pocono 400

The Dragon Energy NASCAR Cup Series is coming from the longest race of the schedule with Martin Truex Jr. outlasting the remainder of the area to grab his third checkered flag of the season at Charlotte Motor Speedway and that he now looks for back-to-back wins this week at Pocono Raceway. Kyle Busch tamed the Tricky Triangle last July and he’s a +300 favorite to replicate this weekend.
Intertops has Busch favorite at +300 followed by Kevin Harvick in +450, Martin Truex Jr. in +500, Brad Keselowski in +650, Joey Logano in +900, Chase Elliott at +1000, Denny Hamlin at +1200, Kurt Busch and Ryan Blaney in +2000, and Kyle Larson and Clint Bowyer in +2200 to round out the top drivers on the oddsboard.
Standout Stats
Toyota has won each of the previous few races at Pocono Raceway, Ford won 2 in a row before that and Chevrolet won seven prior to that.
The winner has qualified outside of the top five in seven of the last 11 runnings in the Tricky Triangle.
There has not been a back up winner at Pocono since Dale Earnhardt Jr. did so in 2014.
Kyle Busch has finished on the podium at each of the previous three races at this track, including two victories. He’s also led at least one lap in each of the previous seven races there. Before the previous three races, though, Busch finished outside of the top 10 in four of seven runnings.
Daniel Suarez finished outside of the top 15 in his two spring runnings at Pocono but finished second and seventh in both summer races . He finished one place behind Busch in the last race in the Tricky Triangle.
Alex Bowman finished third in the last race at Pocono but finished 25th or worse in his additional five starts at this track.
Martin Truex Jr. won the spring running at the Tricky Triangle this past year, and it has led a minumum of one lap in six of the past eight races there. He has also finished outside of the top five in five of the last seven races at Pocono.
Brad Keselowski has directed at least one lap in 11 of their past 15 races at Pocono Raceway and has finished inside the top five of the previous seven runnings in the Tricky Triangle.
My Best Bet for your Pocono 400:
Brad Keselowski +650
He’s been completely consistent at Pocono Raceway, constantly finding himself at the front of the pack at some point in the race and typically in the hunt to win it outright. Keselowski has secured three wins this season and five top-five finishes as well. Lastly, Ford has found a lot of speed at the 1.5-mile and two-mile tracks this season and I expect them to become more aggressive on Sunday.
