Long-serving Leeds ahead Carl Ablett has announced that he is to retire at the season’s close.
Considering making his debut in 2004, the 33-year-old back rower, that was made, hasn’t played this season due to an ankle injury.
His decision was announced by ablett on Monday – if he and fellow forwards Jamie Jones-Buchanan, who’s also hanging his boots up, received special presentations night at Leeds’ awards.
Ablett won seven Grand Finals, two Challenge Cups and two World Club Challenges, and he played for England in the 2013 World Cup.
