Chris Eubank Jr has accused Billy Joe Saunders of preventing him – but warns that he will”get what is coming” if they finally talk about a ring.
A rematch between the two Brits – who fought recently at middleweight – was mooted because their first fight in November 2014.
Saunders won that struggle in London however, Eubank Jr insists he could have his revenge.
He told Sky Sports News:”We’ve been attempting to make that fight for several ages. It happens, whenever it happens.
“He’s not a priority for me because there’s so many other big names on the market. But if that battle happens, he will get what’s coming, and I will be able to proceed.”
Asked whether he felt Saunders was avoiding himor if the rematch hasn’t yet been arranged because of motives, Eubank Jr stated:”The two.
“He does not need to fight unless he is getting paid a crazy amount of money. But in this phase, the fight can be produced; it’s just when and where.”
While he’s unsure if he’ll find another shot at Saunders, Eubank – that obtained the IBO super-middleweight name when defeating James DeGale in February – says his next battle will be announced.
“I haven’t been as busy as I wanted to be this season,” that the 29-year-old recognized. “I said I wished to battle three occasions this season and I’ve only fought after.
“I will certainly be fighting before this year’s out. It’ll be within the following couple of months and there’ll be a statement within the next few weeks on the opponent and venue.”
Eubank Jr offered his ideas and Andy Ruiz Jr, which takes place on December 7 in Saudi Arabia, live on Sky Sports Box Office.
The 29-year-old believes Joshua can easily exude his defeat to Ruiz Jr – the very first of his professional career – so long as he plans the fight with all the best”mindset”.
“AJ is a champion,” Eubank Jr.”I believe if he goes in there together with the ideal mindset, then he can perform the business easily. He just did not have the mindset to do it.
“I believe he possibly underestimated him – as we all did, particularly when you’re fighting with a man that does not appear to be a fighter.
“Nevertheless he underestimated himhe paid the price, and I’m sure he’s going to be fighting like his life depends on it.
“He needs his belts back. He has worked so tough to achieve what he is achieved – that I don’t think he’ll allow Ruiz to disturb him again.”
